: This pole has one very important *key* premise - the choices are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. That means if you chose one you will NEVER be able to have the other. No loopholes. Having said that, here goes:

: 1. Would you rather be wealthy and stupid - OR - poor and intelligent? Why?

I would rather be poor and intelligent, because money is fleeting. You don't really have much chance of adding anything personal to the world with just money. For example, if you're rich you may be able to fund the research that finds the cure for cancer, but if you're intelligent you may be the one who finds the cure. I'd rather be the one to find the cure.

: 2. If you could only have ONE of these accomplishments in your life: Would you rather be an olympic gold medalist at 20 - OR - a Nobel prize winner at 75? Why?

Nobel prize at 75, just because I value the things that the Nobel prize is supposed to stand for more than the things it takes to earn a gold medal. The Nobel prize takes innovative and creative thinking, while the gold medal boils down to simple physical capibility.

: 3. Would you rather have world peace at the expense of the lives of 1/3 of the Earth's population - OR - an end to all abortions everywhere with the full knowledge that those children will grow up only to die in endless wars arround the world? Why?

World peace, because I do not and cannot support war in any fashion for any reason.

: 4. Elvis - OR - The Beatles?

Ouch. Legend against legend. But I would have to pick the Beatles.
