I just read about JERSEY GIRL for the first time, and I was very shocked when I read the name Jennifer Lopez (aka J.Lo). You must be kidding, right??? I mean...I do know that she's kinda Ben Affleck's girlfriend since a while, but is she really good enough for a Kevin Smith movie??? Don't get me wrong, I know some people really like her because of her looks or the rocks that she's got. But is she really a good actor or even a nice person??? I think not. Everytime I read her name in the cast of a movie, I know that for me it could never be a movie worth watching. Maybe only if she played a role like Steven Seagal did in EXECUTIVE DECISION...having very little dialogue and flying out of the screen for the rest of the film. Would be okay for me I think. So, what is this Jennifer Lopez thing about anyway??? I thought of Kevin Smith as a man of good taste and a real talent in finding good actors. I still think that actually, but J.Lo really really would bother me in one of his films. Maybe she could have been a good actor, but after her good feedback for OUT OF SIGHT she decided to become a diva. Maybe she didn't even decide it, possibly she just turned into one. Talking about her music wouldn't make sense anyway, I think!!! ;)
Well, please Mr Smith...may it be your only faux-pas like this, and I will definitely continue watching your movies, when the next one without J.Lo is out!!! ;D
I hope it won't star Christina Aguilera or worse Madonna...
