FEEL FREE TO IGNORE THIS POST!!!!
Less than Jake didn't play, but Movielife did!!! I LOVE Movielife :) The Movielife was great but sadly nobody really paid attention because they were the first band and nobody was there yet. They gave so much energy and sounded awesome and only a few people were cheering :( poor guys. Sadly, I missed MxPx because my friends wanted to get a shirt and we were in line for like 40 minutes!!!! In line there were mom's that were like 45 dressed in fishnets...VERY creepy sight. Good Charlotte was great. Say what you want about how not punk they are and that they are posers, they fucking rocked. They sounded exactly like on the cd and the stuff that did sound different was even better than the recorded version. Benji and Joel were cute (as usual) and funny and Paul was head banging so hard I wouldn't have been surprised if his head had popped off and rolled into the pit (plus he was wearing a SQUEE shirt and I was wearing JTHM, so go him). They didn't play "Hold On" which made me sad but "Young and the Hopeless", "Moving On", and "Story of My Old Man" were definitely the best ones they performed. "Boys and Girls" was pretty funny too. New Found Glory was loud and VERY funny. If you for some reason really like Jordan's(the lead singer) whinny-like voice on the Cd, it doesn't happen in concert. He has a normal singing voice but when he did "Head On Collision" his voice was suddenly nasally again. They are basically like little kids, chasing each other around the stage, getting bored and running into the audience, talking to Benji from good charlotte in between songs. Benji grabbed the microphone and asked if NFG was a 50 cent cover band, Jordan started making fun of 50 cent and then sang his hit song (that dumb-ass shorty thing) it was entertaining. The only problem I had with the concert was the fucking rent-a-cops breaking up the pit every 5 seconds during NFG'S performance (because they were really the only band you could slam dance to). The band even yelled at them to stop, saying that it was a punk rock show and they were supposed to do that, people had to have tickets for the pit so you knew you were going to get your ass kicked when you went in there, that's the point. There was this REALLY fat fuck (about 28 years old) who kept on trying to slap dance with these scrawny little 15 year-olds, but I think he was eventually kicked out. Finally, Jordan told everyone to stand up on there seats and mosh there....people did. That's why I would ever want to be a rock star, not the fame or money, just the fact that I could yell "DANCE LIKE A CHICKEN!" and everybody in the crowd would do it and say "yes master". That is a cool power. Anyway, with the exception of ass-hole security guards and the teeny bobbers, the concert was awesome. I am terribly sorry to take up space on the board with this awful review. The saddest part is my family and friends think I should review movies, Cds, and concerts for a living...fucking morons. I'm still really young but I highly doubt I'll ever get better
