Well, to answer the questions first, i dont speak any other languages, well more than a few
phrases and my ability to read sign. I took french for about 4 years and Spanish for 2 in
high school, and also russian for 3 semesters in college, but what i remember is minimal.
Italy is awesome, and I suggest to travel there, especially to Rome. . . Rome is my 3 favorite
city in all the places i have been (boston is #1 and Basel is #2) italy is not that expensive
and it is normally quite warm. For me the colosseum was the best part of rome besides the
nightlife which rocked my world until 5 am, and the party was still going. There is also a
pub crawl every night, you just meet a group outside the colosseum, but watch out for the
gypsies theyll try to trick you and maybe even pickpocket, have a man around at all times if
you dont like flirty men that try to touch you a lot and keep calling you bella bella! From
Rome you can easily get to Florence by train, and the awesome eurail passes arent that
expensive if you can get one. Also go to Pompeii for a day, and I also love Venice, but I
think that one can do Venice in a day too. From Venice it is the most beautiful train ride
thru the alps to germany and switzerland, if you get the chance do that. you wont regret it.
Since you speak french fluently, I suggest france then, they are a lot more friendly to those
who speak their language and paris also has a lot of fun touristy things to do, I enjoyed the
catacombs a lot, the view from the eiffel tower is awesome and all that.
I would also suggest Basel and Switzerland in general, but it is wicked expensive and dont
fly into the airport there because it will probably cost you an extra 500 dollars to do so.
Most of europe has the euro now, but switzerland still has francs and england has pounds,
and it just so happens that they are the most expensive of all the countries, while in the east
is the cheapest.
Germany has the best "euro" shoes, but they are wicked expensive, but food is cheap, and
the hostels are always clean and great.
woo, i gotta call my boyfriend, but keep the questions coming, and ill answer them asap!!
Kym:)
: : : : It's amazing that you have been to so many places. I'm always interested in listening
to people talk about their travels. Thank you for answering my questions. As I said before, I
want to travel very badly. I've been dreaming about going to Europe for years, hopefully I
will get that chance someday. Do you speak any other languages? I speak French fluently.
Something that most Canadians, at least those of us from the Marintimes, must learn. What
did you think about Rome? It's at the top of my list of places I would like to travel to. I'd
actually like to move to Europe, perhaps to Italy. I'm not sure why, but Italy has just always
seemed to be the place I feel that I should live.
