MALLRATS... WAS IT A BLUNDER OR ON PURPOSE

The magic eye picture in Mallrats is portrayed as being a sailboat. Through modern technology I paused the film and took a good long look at it. It is not a sailboat at all but three rows of four geometrical shapes. Was this a blunder or did you (Kevin) do it on purpose?
