: i always say *spoilers* to cover my ass about discussing new and/or semi-new movies. anyway ------ i loved this movie. it was depressing, strange, and funny from the start and kept that pace throughout the whole movie. i, and probably most people, know someone like Ed Norton's character. you know, a guy you've known all your life that now deals in illegal dealings. movies usually don't grab me emotionally, but this one did for some reason. great flick. i don't understand why i haven't heard more about it.
: because i'm not from, and have never been to new york, i'm a little confused about the last scene. after Ed's dad stopped talking and it showed him all busted up again, were they still on a new york highway, or were they far away from home? i'm just trying to decide whether or not the ending should have been a dead giveaway, or make you wonder what happened.
: feedback please. later all.
Agreed, loved it as well. the FUCK YOU part was one of the most incredible scenes I have ever seen in a movie. as for the end, it was posed as a question. they were still on the highway going to the jail. BUt did monty decide to choose a new life? well, most likely not, but it was really what you think happened. I think he went to the jail, as did all my friends. Don't know how the book ended
