If you think about it...the only reason it was mentioned at all was because she was trying to answer someone's question about why three of the cams weren't working...so she really was just trying to be helpful without jumping the gun on Ming's plan for later...
I'm sure that she doesn't know when the surprise will be revealed, or she'd probably be happy to give up that information.
