I guess every time brought something new to music but the 60s totally revolutionized the music industry in so many ways. The Beatles and the Stones wrote awesome lyrics and became legendary for it and also the different beats they used, I think the Beatles were most influential though. And The Doors, I could go on and on about what they did for music but I don't want to write to much, they are indeed one of the best groups of all time. Black Sabbath came along in the late 60s and are the reason we have metal and hard rock today. Hendrix changed the way a guitar was played and because of him guitar playing has become what it is. Janis was the first hard core female rock star who wasn't afraid to sing the way she wanted to, which has paved the way for female artists now. So much happened in the 60s a lot of what happened then is why music is what it is today so in my opinion i would choose it as the most influential music age.
