~~~~That line was in reference to Marcus (Denholm Elliot) - it went on to say he had friends in every town and village between wherever they were and somewhere else quite far away (yes, I can't recall the exact location!) - the next cut was to Marcus, the obvious Englishman, complete with umbrella, wandering around some Middle Eastern town saying "Hello, does anyone speak English?"
