I wasn't so much as suggesting Clerks should be made into a play so much as you're mostly filming stage productions, in a manner of speaking. I'm not saying that's wrong, mind you, but the lack of interest in developing a visual style is more in tune with the stage than the screen.
Just an odd observation put into a bit of perspective recently.
Besides, Clerks would make a better musical (singing)"Can't you just feeeeel the homosexual subtext?..."
