It's extremly rare that a review will ever stop me from seeing a movie i originally wanted to see. No matter how badly it was panned, i'd check it out of if I want to. I do enjoy reading some critics reviews though, because I end up seeing some great that I either didn't hear about, or didn't care to see. If Ebert didn't praise CITY OF GOD or WHALE RIDER as much as he did, I think I would have missed out on those two wonderful films
