I did not think Phone Booth was all that brilliant... All I'm saying is, I'm glad it was so short. I'd much rather deal with movie drama than real-life drama; I'm a big fan of smooth sailing in life. I suppose if you have a hard life, or are just not a very satisfied person, I can see how you wouldn't want to watch movies designed to depress the audience. Also, I've never seen Amistad, or Schindler's List. I wasn't too interested whenever they first were released, and I don't know if I want to see either. Most of the depressing movies I watch, its only cuz I stumble across them, I don't seek them out.

P.S. I hear you were gone for awhile (I haven't been around much). Welcome back, how was your trip?

: ~ I enjoy brilliant filmaking. Vulgar, Punch Drunk Love, Phone Booth....
: sure, they aren't Happy films but they are superb drama. I think life is like that.
: I think what we are looking at ,however, is the brilliance in the making of these films
: as well.
: I know many people who cannot deal with serious drama in film.
: Sad but true....yet in life it still happens. Do you cut it out for that?
: Thae fact that it MAY and that's a big may..because Amistad was possibly one of
: the greatist films I have seen.
