Gangs of NY

I think I sort of mentioned I 'm a bit of a dork like this the other day - but after watching Gangs the other day, I'm interested in reading up on that time period to see how accurate the portrayal was (but also because now I'm just interested in the history re: Tammany Hall and the draft riots, etc).
I've got one book called The Five Points - but does anyone know of anything else? or any good sources to find more stuff?
