Posting Screenplays on the Web???

I have a lot of friends that have posted their original screenplays on various sites. The purpose of which is to get it read by the "Right" person. Is this a good idea? And if so, are there some that are more credible than others?

Also, Do you have any other suggestions for getting screenplays read?
