..."We left not long after, grabbed some dinner and made the long drive home.,” allow me to add to Kimberlieo's friends story (From the last board since it fliped while I wrote this).
Being the novice to the VA world, the fact that Bryan Johnson and his special female friend arriving at the dinner a few minutes afterwards, and taking the booth across from us, left little to no impression.
When Bryan first sat down he commented to me that it was rather cold in the dinner that night, and it was in fact cold.
With that brief interaction I opted to let Bryan and his friend be, without having to deal with the many questions that were running through my head, having just watched VULGAR two nights prior.
However I could not resist striking up a conversation with the ladies at my booth that began with "Did you see that movie VULGAR? What the hell was that director thinking?" rather loudly, which in turn got a chuckle, and look from Bryan.
And after a bit of later conversation as to how the hell we were going to get back to PA from Red Bank, we caught Bryan on his way out and asked for directions.
Then the driver and her guide, who I had hoped were actually listening, and were not distracted by the surreal experience of asking a guy you have seen several times in Kevin Smith films, for driving directions, proceeded to take a round about route that had us circling around Red Bank for at least an extra half hour.
However I am not sure, since I never took a official tour of this area of Jersey, I found myself peering out the window to see if any of the sights resembled something I might have seen in the VA movies.
Like I explained earlier that day to Randall, I often find myself between "Wow, that is so fuckin cool." and what normally follows right after "I feel like such a dork!"
His response was, “Face it, embrace it…You are a fan.”
