: I do hope that this final prediction comes true! I would hate to have the insect infestation that you seem to have...

But given that there were baby spiders all over my kitchen ceiling this morning, I'm inclined to doubt that my luck will run that way. I gave the ceiling a nice dousing in Raid (yet more happy healthy inhalations of that stuff for me, this week; there's GOT to be some cumulative damage from that shit), which means I'm going to have to re-wash all the dishes in the drainer, and even then I doubt I made a dent in them. I've dealt with this shit before (hatched spider egg, I mean) and it'll mean killing baby spiders for the next couple of days, as well as running into the adult versions later on.
I just keep repeating to myself over and over, one more month and a half, one more month and a half... Of course, in the meantime, I have to start packing my shit up, and that means probably unearthing yet more creepy crawlies.
I find it deeply ironic that someone with as bad a bug-phobia as I have has had to deal with this apartment. No one else I know has ever had to deal with infestations like this.
You can be SURE that when I go apt hunting this time, vermin will be one of the MAJOR questions I pursue. And I think I'll aim for a 2nd fl. apt. this time. Not that that prevented me from getting two yellowjacket nests in the window of my last apartment, but at least I didn't have mice, silverfish, or an overabundance of spiders. I'm more scared of the yellowjackets than I am of any of those others, but at least they're an easily enough solved problem. Run away and stay with someone else while the landlord comes in and sprays the bastards out of existence! My current landlord sucks ass, though. No one should have to put up with the shit I've had to.
