(It's been a while since I read the old Frank Miller stuff, but I think it was him)

And I must of somehow missed the undertone of Ollie being catholic, but as another person here said, a (good) writer tends to put a lot of themselves into their writing, so it would only seem natural to see that show through.

And besides, as we have learned over the years writers that pick up writing on a title don't always feel the need to expand on the ideas set forth by the writers they followed.
