I think Kevin is very likely putting 100% into the movie because Kevin is not the kind of guy to put any less into ANY of his movies.
However his work is mostly done though I know he's finishing off the other infamous comics right now (or has been, or will be, whatever).
For your comment about JG making what Gigli does, I also disagree slightly. I think openning weekend JG will gross somewhat higher because of Kevin's name and my guess is better reviews. JG will end up grossing much higher because (and this is an assumption) it is far better than Gigli and people will recommend it to friends rather that pushing them away from it.
