Filmmakers tend to have nothing to do with the casting of extras or even bit players in their movies. If you don't speak a line, chances are the director has no clue who you are.
The best way to go about getting into this kind of work is...shudder....contact an agency or contact casting agents yourself.
Good luck to you, and in the future, it would behoove you to read the rules of something before using it. Because trust me, you need to learn to never sign anything before reading it!
