: post your thoughts on these comic book movies, and whether you are a fan of the comics or not. This is just to get some sort of perspective.
I was never a big comic consumer, even as a little boy. My relationship with super heroes was mainly on television, watching cartoons after school.
: Spider-Man
my favorite Marvel hero. loved the movie. was not bummed about the power ranger looking goblin. understand things need to be altered when going from animation to the physical world.
: Daredevil
didn't know much about him. he wasn't a cartoon when i was a kid. movie was much better than i thought.
: X1
again, no cartoon when i was a grade school kid. knew of these guys mainly through my nephew. movie was ok. good enough to establish the franchise...
: X2
this was a great movie, a real contender for best comic movie to date. night crawler quickly became one of my faves.
: Hulk
worth watching. definitely different. ang lee had a vision and really went for it i thought. whether he pulled it off depends on you think comic movies should be about.
: Bathman (First).
and his sidekick showernator...
just watched this a couple of nights ago. still dig it.
: Also, should they continue making comic movies?
most definitely
: What about the Elektra side project?
not a Garner fan
: Will you see Punisher?
got a great cast. i'll be there
: What comic movie are you anticipating, and who should (If not announced yet) play the protagonist and antagonist (Hero and Villain)?
As my board name would indicate, I want a Green Lantern movie with Hal Jordan. I want it set in the 60's. So much potential for the cosmic cop. Think Star Wars/Top Gun/Men in Black (I got that from someone else). IF they set it in the 60s so we'd have a young Hal, my choice would be Casper Van Dien to play him. As far as Sinestro, I dunno.
