Why does violence seem to beget violence? I would pay 90% of my income if it guaranteed world peace. As it stands, I pay 38% of my 16,000 a year income, and now the government feels that I make to much this year (as opposed to 13,000 I made last year) to warrant them helping out with my classes which run me $1650/semester before books. So, I guess what I am saying is;
I could have made an educated response to your dichotemic line of borderline rhetorical questions, except that I cannot even afford an educated opinion right now. Would you be willing to pay more taxes on your income if it meant that I could answer in a year or so?
