Here are the facts.

Miramax put Jersey Girl on a day and date release to coincide with "Matrix Revolutions" after the success of releasing "Two Weeks Notice" the same day as "Th Two Towers" last year proved successful counterprogramming and "Two Weeks" wound up with $93,000,000.

However, they tried the counterprogramming technique with "Matrix Reloaded" releasing "Down With Love" the same day. It bombed, hard. Why? Women were going to see the Matrtix as well.

So they switched it, from the day of November 5th to February 13th. The same day Silence of the Lambs was released. SIlence of the Lambs opened with $11,000,000.00 It's final domestic gross was $130,000,000.00

Also released aet that time last year. Daredevil. Which made $45,000,000 and finally grossed $102,000,000. And it starred Ben Affleck.

As for your assertions about this is the next "Ishtar." For the first time, you make a correct statement. Ishtar did horribly. But Warren Beatty's next film, Dick Tracy grossed $103,000,000 domestically. Dustin Hoffman's next film was "Rain Man" which grossed $412,000,000 worldwide and earned four Oscars.

As for Arnold Schwarzenegger, his next film was "True Lies" which grossed $172,000,000 domestically and $364,000,000 worldwide.

Next time you want to talk facts try finding some real ones.
