Not only is it probably a financial and logistical nightmare to have more than just two super-powered stars (Spidey and Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2), but those characters were only co-stars in the cartoon (yes, I remember them) -- I can't even remember if they were Marvel properties (eg, was it the Bobby Drake Iceman from the X-Men or a separate character created by NBC?)
I't be interesting to see a big team-up, but it means a lot of $$ on SFX and also a lot of wasted plotting time introducing the new heroes, as well as the new villian...
