He's made it clear, in strong language, that he does not find interaction with me enjoyable and has said that he wishes that I would remove myself from his presence. I'd ask nicely that you drop the subject. It's not important that I interact with Mr. Smith. Frankly I think I enjoyed his movies a lot more before I did.
