If you are being sued, you will receive a summons if the courts find this lawsuit valid. Once you receive a summons you will also receive a court appointed attorney. He will most likely hear your story and counter sue the plaintiff for the same amount of money. They will find one of you at fault. And either both or neither of you will pay anything.
Yah...I sued the pants off of someone and it was drawn out for almost 2 years. Unfortunately, the bastard died before I could get my full amount.
