His "tricks" are psychological and the results go far deeper than Blaine's momentary thrill. One stunt had him taking on an ex-SAS guy who laid out a clear path on a set of planks. The other paths were laid out with broken glass and barbed wire. Brown was barefoot and blindfolded and had to guess whether this guy giving him directions was lying to him or not.
To cap this off, the planks were supported on three very high stone pillars. One had a safety mat, two did not. Yes, he did make it, but his sense of humour carries him even past the predictable ending ("I don't trust your 'Trust me'")
