I'm in Maryland, just outside of DC, and a lot of people lost power around here...thankfully, there has been some flickering every now and then but I still have mine. Don't have cable (awww). LOTS of downed trees/power lines. The flooding is nothing to sneeze at along the Potomac and the Bay. I saw a news story toay out of Middleton, NJ, (Kev's old hood?) where a tree fell through sme guy's roof.

All in all pretty much what I expected. It rained a lot and got pretty windy. They had assholes tethered to roofs (Rooves?) at news stations in DC to check how high the wind gusts were. Isn't that what technology's for, folks? The thing I got sick of the quickest (while my cable was still on) was the CONTIUING COVERAGE. Jesus, break in for important stuff, let us watch some TV fo Christ's sake! I don't need to know from the latest freak holding onto a rail from a boardwalk someplace how dangerous it is outside. I have windows. Yikes.

Thanks y'all for letting me vent. Our area still has a couple high tides to get through, and perhaps a week til all folks get power, but other than that, Starbucks was open this morning, and all was right with the world.
