Ah, but Jhonen Vasquez has Gen X cred because 'Squee' and 'Johnny, the Homicidal Maniac' were so good. (And the first issue of 'I Feel Sick', and above all else, the 'Bad Art Collection'.)
So it's okay, you can embrace it if you wanna. (I love Vasquez, but never got all that into the show.)
