I don't see where this has been addressed in the archives, and I can't remember ever having seen Kevin discuss how feels about testing movies prior to release, so I'm posting my question here. Basically, it seems that artistic integrity meets financial return on investment when it comes to testing films -- studio execs want to ensure the latter to the greatest degree possible, whereas at least some directors are more concerned with the former. Any insights here about this? Any place to read Kevin's comments on this? He didn't address it in _An Evening With Kevin Smith."
