Make sure you cover your ass first... If you are gonna complain only complain about the illegal search, don't start bringing up the "foreplay" the officer had given you by patting you down.
If it was me I would drop it, the cop was decent enough to let you go without much harm, and IMHO he was just doing his job, just as you and I do ours, they have quotas to meet too you know.
