While most viruses/worms are merely annoying, there are others that can damage data on your computer. Norton anti-virus is excellent but you must update the virus definitions or else it's useless. Set it to automatically update so you don't have to worry about it. New viruses/worms are created and released daily by assholes who really need to get a life.
