It's like raising a child. If you raise a child you can't let them think that it's okay to cuss all they want and eat candy all the time and stay up as late as they want. There's nothing wrong with trying to encourage proper grammar, mainly because it makes it EASIER TO READ.
Since "encouragement" doesn't work, some people flame, which sometimes works. Either the person doesn't like getting shat on and works harder to make literate posts, or they turn into a defensive asshole and post ten times more often and ten times less coherently and then get banned, but there are a few people that resist, although no one cares about them, cause they're usually 15 year-old stoners that think Kevin Smith is the best writer/director that ever lived.
Your post would have made a better point if you WEREN'T one of the posters that gets flamed for poor spelling/grammar.
Oh, and I do have a life. I have a job, but I, and many other posters, spend a lot of time on the computer writing scripts which is why we spend time on this Board, and after 4 or 5 years of seeing the same bad grammar/spelling, it REALLY pisses you off.
