One of my favorite teachers, Mr. Sillick, passed away last night. He was only 57 years old, and it was his last year of teaching at my school. I don't know how to react. I'm crying, but numb. It's not real.

He was severely injured in a farm accident on August 27th... The first thing he said was, "I'm going to miss the first day of school."

I know he probably never knew much about VA, but I figured I'd share it since we had discussions about the films in class. I made references to it in the school newspaper, which he headed, and in my works in my Creative Writing Class.

I love him dearly, and I'm an emotional wreck...
