Flop couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had been axed from posters for their new movie.
Jersey Girl producer Miramax told their marketing team to scrap images of both stars after their last film Gigli bombed at the box office.
And J.Lo's character now dies in the first 15 MINUTES!
Director Kevin Smith, 33, started trimming her scenes after her performance went down badly with preview audiences.
A source said: "After Gigli, Miramax doesn't want to take any chances with another laughing stock flop."
"They're going to promote this as a Kevin Smith movie."
Gigli was a disaster in America and was pulled from UK cinemas after just one week. Before the failure, film bosses had ordered Smith to cash in on the couple's romance.
He said Miramax co-chairman Harvey Weinstein told him: "Let's have a smuch of Jennifer in...because we paid her $4 million for the movie."
J.Lo,33, and Affleck,31, called off their wedding last month, and were rumored to have split. But they have since appeared together.
