I love most of his movies, but I'd go with
THE JERK
DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS
THE LONELY GUY
PLANES TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES
LA STORY
BOWFINGER
and
PARENTHOOD
as my favorites. Some of his funniest stuff, although he's not in the movies that long is LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (which is one of my favorite movies of all time) and THE MUPPET MOVIE.
His worst movies are easily BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE (what a retarded, awful movie that used the "black people are criminals who can dance real good and white people sure are square" joke so much they forgot to include any other joke at all, SARGEANT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND and MIXED NUTS.
