hyperbole aside, the arclight does rule.
assigned seating, yes, but equally important is that the rows aren't jammed together so it's
possible for people to actually walk in front of you without you having to stand or yr legs
shift uncomfortably. I looooove that they don't have "pre-show entertainment" (read:
commercials) and i looooove they have the dude come out and give you a spiel on yr movie
before it starts... also nice is that they seem to make an effort to play the soundtrack for
the film you are there to see and generally sell those soundtracks in their giftshop. right
on.
also cool is their constant flood of special programming, director/producer Q&A's, great
food at the concession, a built in restaurant, coffee shop, etc... yup. arclight rules.
don't care much for the dome though... i've only seen one movie there (The Ring) so that
may be why.
Lotsa movies don't play there though... it's not because it's "better" or not better... it's just
that that's how the movie distributin' bidness goes. Certain chains get certain movies... the
Arclight is part of the Pacific Theatres chain so it gets the movies they do...
