Lost a friend last year. Over a GIRL, of all things. I mean, I'm sure there was more to it than that, but all I know is, he was fine at work that day, then they got into a fight that night, and the next thing we know he's spent the evening locked in the garage with the riding lawnmower running.
Sorry, but I don't see anything ballsy about choosing to end it rather than to deal with it. I never have. I'm not one of those people who felt all tragic in my adolescence, and even when things have been abysmal in my life, I've always been willing to see what the next day was going to bring. Maybe that means I've got a strong personality, I don't know. All I know is, I think it's a bullshit thing to do.
