: Now multiply that animal’s temperament by ten, add another 400-some-odd pounds of muscle, and there’s the animal that Roy’s been "hitting on the head with a microphone" for the last couple of decades and beating the odds by getting away with it.

::What I find worse is that they have the gall (sp?) to say that these animals have a happy life with them and love them. That the wild animals are content and want for nothing. Well excuse me, but I think any wild animal would be much happier in it's natural environment, being able to go and do as it pleases. Being able to do what nature intended it to do.

: Like you said, I can’t imagine a single logical reason why someone would ever even dream of training them to jump through hoops or walk on their hind legs. They’re animals of awesome power, grace and cunning, and worthy of more respect than that.

:: This is the reason that I refuse to go to any type of circus (exept Cirque du Soleil, which consists of stricly human acts). I just see no reason to watch an elephant stand on it's hind legs, or a see one of natures predators jump through hoops and the like. It's ridiculous.

: And again, I'm guilty of rambling.
::I enjoy your ramblings, so feel free to do so at any time.
