weird split of opinion over The Ring

(speaking of scary movies) 50% of people I've talked to about this movie appear to have been utterly unmoved by this movie and the other 50% frightened out of their wits... anybody else notice this???

ps. I'm in the bowels-to-water-big-girls-blouse percentile myself
