*horror - IT - Stephen King
*classic - its not a classic per se, but Kiss of the Spiderwoman - Manuel Puig, its truly amazing, its a screenplay but it reads like a regular book.
*biography - Bob Geldof's autobiography is really interesting and also one I read about Jim Morrison that was written by the drummer of the Doors.
*suspense - Code 61 - Donald Harstad
*romance - The Cider House Rules - John Irving, not really a romance, but its a story about love (and waaaay better than the film)
*scifi - wow, have you got all night? I could recommend loads of really well known stuff, so heres something less well known "Gun, With Occaisional Music"...just read it and see!
