Pic Post Policy

What a fine alliteration in that subject line.
What is the policy for having a post with a picture in it? Are there limits to how many posts with pictures or how many pictures per post? I'm not talking about linking to a picture, but rather having one on the post. How do you have a picture in the post text, like the "caption this" posts?
