: I loved Daredevil...and I love comic books...I think the main problem that critics or other people had was the simple fact that they remained relatively true to the comic...and that isn't "mainstream"

Ohhh, and another thing; it reminds me how much people hated Bakshi's "Lord of the Rings" movie from the 80's. (Or even 70's?) I've grilled people about it, because in some ways, I like it better than Jackson's. In the end, the rotoscoping effect of animation over live action was just so distracting, it ruined the movie for a lot of people.

: That's why I'm worried bout X2...The Phoenix story will kick ass with Jean Grey, however, that gets into the Galactic end of hte X-Men, such as Galactica, Apocalypse, Sinister X, etc...and that wouldn't appeal to a mainstream audience...

That would probably be the most expensive, yet most freaking awesome, movie in the history of action flicks. Not just with the X-Men, but with ALL the superhero characters, and with ALL the established actors reprising their roles.

: but I think people just have trouble accepting a comic universe...DD when it was first released met mixed reviews to...people said "A blind superhero?!!?!" Glad to know us who did like it weren't as ignorant

Yeah, what's also funny is how people said that Daredevil is a small player in the comics, and execs are really grasping when they go for a small-fry like Daredevil. I just want to tell them, "You wanna talk minor characters? ...BLADE."
