Those action sequences were obnoxiously long...

What made the first Matrix was the fact that the action existed and worked in harmony with the story...an incredibly original and unique one at that...

Reloaded had all of this actoin packed into it just to look cool. Not to develop or move forward....

Revolutions...there wasn't a story to begin with, nor was there much action in there worth seeing....The Battle of Zion was just 40 minutes of the same thing over and over. We've seen it already. Move on...

The Twins were bad eye candy...the Agent Smith fight in Reloaded was eye candy (and horribly done CG at that)...

The film used these elements as a crutch instead of allowing it to go with the story as did the original
