: I feel lucky that my family wasn't a pet family for very long. My housemate and his parents are worryingly obsessive about Monty, who repays them by dumping on the kitchen floor and starting fights with the neighbour's cat.
: No offence to cat owners, but I just find them impersonal What's the point of a pet that can fend for itself?
: : : so last night I was looking forward to a relaxing bath
: : FAG!!!
: : :- Mrs.A was out for the night and my daughter safely asleep in bed.
: : Time for porn is what I say
: : :I started running the bathwater and went down into the basement to grab the recycling boxes to put out. I come back upstairs and somehow Kitty (hereafter referred to as the butthead cat) had gone into the bathroom, closing the door behind her which promptly locked by itself (still a mystery) and is yowling away like a banshee.
: : ...and you would have gotten away with it if it wasnt for you damn...
: : : So I go tearing into the kitchen (visions of a major flood ruining our nice new bathroom) wrench out the drawers hunting for the little pokey thing that's supposed to unlock the handle from the outside. Can I find it? Not on your nelly.
: : You could have straightened a clothes hanger...Just FYI for the next time you dare cross you cats path
: : :So finally I ended up booting the bathroom door in. cracked the door along its edge, and sent bits of the lock flying all over.
: : Very stallone of you
: : : So whilst my relaxing bath was going cold I replaced the lock and then glued and clamped the door back together with c-clamps (g-clamps for our British readers).
: : You should have clamped the cat to the arch
: : I was not best pleased. Mrs.A got home just in time to stop me from lynching the cat.
: : You should have then clamped her to the cat
: : : my daughter slept through the entire thing - proof that she inherited at least one characteristic from me...
: : Good thing too cause that could have been embarressing.
: : : gad...
You have to teach them to be dependent. Cultivate that need for you. They don't need 24 hour access to their food, or water, or air.
On a serious tip, I have a few cats, and these fuckers surround me. I am sitting on my bed right now, and no less than 3 of them are sitting right next to me.
