I fear envy, lust and greed. For the most part, I think you can link every tragedy of significant proportion to this terrifying trio. Even wrath, with its powerful undertones, loses most of its steam if you take away the three instigators. After all, how much wrath would you need to inflict if nobody wanted your power, your woman or your money? God save the Queen, but those jocks and patties wouldn't have come out of the hills to fight if their swag was safe.
Personally, I struggle with motive. As the years go by, I try to do things for the right reason, not neccesarily trying to do the right thing. If I don't want what someone else has, just because they have it; devote my time to chasing "fine ass pussy" because of how they look, and want things just to have them, I sleep a whole lot better at night and deal with a whole lot less bullshit along the way.
I know this isn't the confession you requested, but it's still a tidbit to analyze in that rightous writer mind of yours. You say this is a new novel? As in, there are others?
