Used to be that the time between the first trailer for a film and the film itself was LESSER than the time between the film's theatrical run and the DVD release.
Nowadays, we're watching trailers a year in advance, then the film's in the theater, and then it's on DVD a month later. At what point in time exactly did this all shift?
I think the first film I noticed it with was Space Jam back in '96.
