Tim Burton just wouldn't do a good Superman, is all.
He's really good at quirky semi-comic horror movies and the occasional screwball comedy... but a non-dark superhero movie? No.
Here's hoping Depp uses his newfound uber-stardom to just do weird neat shit with Burton and Gilliam for the rest of his life.
