: One, isn't Kevin on pretty friendly terms with Stern to begin with, appearing on the show now and again, wouldn't it be kind of awkward to ask Howard to pay up?
Hey, I doubt it. Like you said they are on friendly terms. Kevin would probably just say, "hey the Stern show really wants you to go on - you should do it, as I, Kevin Smith, am a big fan of the show"
: Two, you know that Stern would just ask Ben a bunch of really really rough questions about his engagement and stuff and it would be a pretty damned awkward five minutes...
I would imagine so. But Affleck has proven time and time again that is able to laugh at himself and conduct an interview without having to hide from tough questions. I mean, did you see him on Leno right after the whole Stripper and Gigli fiasco, he took it all in stride and gained huge buckets of respect from me.
: Three... to you or me, ten grand is like the motherlode and... ten grand's ten grand for anyone, even someone like Kevin or Ben but...
Ten grand is a lot of money. They would give it to charity I would assume. Ben played effing poker on Bravo and all he got was 5 grand for his charity.
:I'm guessing that for Kevin the ten grand wouldn't be worth putting his friend in a weird position like that. I imagine Stern will let him pop on to promote Jersey Girl here and there, anyway, and Leno as well and so forth.
Again, Kevin is a fan, I would assume he would tell his friend that he should go on the show to begin with....I mean has he really never done it?
: On a tangent, though, wouldn't it be neat to see Andy introducing Kevin appearing on Kimmel?
Yeah well, maybe when JG comes out, Miramax and ABC might cook that up. But I would rather see Stern interview Affleck than Kimmel. Eventhough it would be similar - given that Kimmel steals most of his show from Stern.
