I've heard that a man's (or boy's, in your case) bitterness is inversely relative to the size of his penis (i.e., the more bitter his comments, the smaller his manhood is). This is just a scientific theory, however, but I'm currently conducting an experiment to prove it.
Now, while I personally am sick of hearing about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's relationship, I don't really care enough to get riled up about it. People used to talk about Ben and Gwyn Paltrow all the time, and they talked about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lopez all the time (still do, in fact, but not as much as before). The people find a celebrity couple to cling to and focuse all their limited attention on and the media proceeds to make a mockery of itself by reporting on nothing but the couple, putting them on the covers of once-prestigious magazines and newspapers with headlines such as "Is Bennifer Over?" and "Do Ben's Lusts and Jennifer's High Maintenance Not Match Up?" and some such rubbish. It's just what happens. For now Affleck and Lopez are the center of attention. Soon, it'll be a different couple. Then another, then another, then another. Every time it happens most will flock like the mindless, day-in-day-out sheep they are while others sit in the corner all pissed off that the world is passing everyone by and all they can do about it is read the tabloids for the latest celebrity couple "news". This is what happens, and we'd all be better off just getting used to it, because it's not going to change for a long, long time.
