Racism/homosexual/whatever debate COMPLETELY aside...
It seems to me that your entire post deals mostly with the objectification of races/lifestyles/whatever. That is to say, you're concerned with how certain cultural stereotypes are enforced through commercialism, thereby causing, in this case, "black culture" to be so widely diluted as to be reminiscent of slavery?
Well, yeah. Everyone you know is a slave, in one sense or another. Black culture is just another cog in the machine. It has gained "mainstream" acceptablility to "middle America," and therefore become a marketing tool. You said it yourself; "As long as there's money involved, it's A-OK.... cash DOES rule everything around me." Yes. Exactly. Snoop Dogg is doing nothing different than you or I by spouting his catchphrases on some stupid AOL commercial.
It's the root of that whole "American Dream" thing that has everyone chasing their tails - black, white, gay, straight, whoever. The quest for the big bankroll corrupts ALL Americans, sometimes causing them to compromise personal integrity in return for a little more of the pie.
That isn't a race issue; that's a 'simple fact of life in America' issue.
